| These two sisters were experimenting with the idea of tongue jewelry using a simple ring. They were two of several hundred at the Four Corners Folk Festival in Pagosa Springs over Labor Day weekend in 1999. We were there at the invitation of my friend Craig, who had been a college roommate of mine in San Diego. Craig, who majored in English, is now a professional photographer. Right now he's green with envy seeing what a wonderful shot he missed and I didn't.
