Drunk Love
The quirky movie with this title has wonderfully-colored
backgrounds to the credits. This inspired me to see what I could
do by blurring and amplifying the colors in various photos. Here's
one of my efforts.

Church of Saint John
Inspired by that movie, I designed a colorful gothic-arched background
for a church website. One
idea informing this design is a line from U2's song "I Still
Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"
I believe in the kingdom come
Then all the colors will bleed into one

 Senator
Joseph Biden
It was my privilege to join other elected officials from the villages,
towns and cities of Delaware for a meeting with the state's congressional
delegation. Two days before the train bombings in Madrid, Senator
Biden complained to us at length about the Bush Administration's
pitiful efforts at homeland security, in particular security on
trains.

After lunch, a group of us toured the Senate office building and
then took the underground train to the U.S. Capitol Building.

Liberty
This, if I heard correctly, is the plaster casting of the statue
now on top of the capitol.

 The
Indians Spared the White Man
This carving is under the capitol dome. I was taken with the rugged
faces of these Indians and that the carving depicts an act of mercy,
Pocahontas pleading for her lover's life.

Mountains of Baltimore
These mountains look majestic but they are only forty feet tall
or so. |
