The Cultivated Eye: Brandywine Valley Photographers, June-October, 2007
at the Delaware Art Museum, June 1 through October 23, 2007. Curator Heather Coyle chose four images of mine for this exhibit of 10 photographers of the local landscape. Reviews of this exhibit appeared in Wilmington's News Journal, the Philadelphia-area Art Matters, in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the South Philly Review, and on the Delaware Division of the Arts website. This exhibit complements the museum's summer exhibition, Contemporary Photography and the Garden: Deceits and Fantasies: 66 garden photographs by American and European photographers including Sally Mann and Catherine Opie.
Fifteen Photographs, March-April, 2007
at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Delaware. I shared wall space with Ross Stevens. This is a great venue with indirect lighting and several hundred viewers every Sunday morning besides all the other visitors to the church.
Twelve Abstract Photos, January, 2007
at Crosslands Residential Community, Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
The Walls of Brandywine Creek State Park, January-April, 2007
at the Nature Center. Two of my photos were selected for this juried exhibition, winning first prize and an honorable mention.
The Rag Art Show, September, 2005
at the South Austin Museum of Popular Culture. This group retrospective of our years working on Austin's underground newspaper, The Rag, was part of The Rag Reunion. My photos, taken in the early 1970s, are now in the collection of The Center for American History at The University of Texas.
Five
Reminders, October, 2005
at the Christiana Care Health Service's Helen
F. Graham Cancer Center Library , 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, Delaware, (302) 733-1000. This
exhibit was sponsored by the Delaware
Photographic Society. The five photos,
I was told, should be of a quiet, pleasing
nature. At the conclusion of the exhibit, I was asked by the director of the Cancer Center if I would donate them. They now provide some small comfort to those undergoing radiation therapy. I hope you never have occasion to see them.
The
Chosen Few, September, 2005
at Colourworks Art Space as part of the City of Wilmington's monthly Art
on the Town "Art Loop"
A
few people were
chosen by me to be on my jury for
this exhibit. Each was asked to choose one
photograph from the past year, from the photos
found in my weblog.
