Our friends Barbara and Debbie were just two of the women fortunate to be invited to our Annual Men's Bookgroup Christmas Party in 1999. Decades ago, a group of women started a book group and wouldn't let us men in. We formed our own group. At Christmas, the time of peace and goodwill, we graciously allow the other sex to partake of the witty banter and urbane discussion that characterizes any gathering of men.
