Usually my days
end with my wife in bed reading while I watch TV with the earphones on
so as not to disturb her. This is an un-retouched photo of her from my
dancing camera.
One night, bored with the movie
I was watching, I grabbed my camera.
A style of documentary photography
I enjoy is to open the shutter and, while it is open, to shake, twirl,
and loop the loop the camera, to make it dance.
The resulting image has documentary
authority, but it is not the perspective of a single fixed point. Instead,
I get to see how my world might look to a moving eye slowly accumulating
detail.
