One of my great failings is forever wanting to make my world a better place, as if it were a bad place, as if it needed my help.
If I've ever tried to improve you, fix you, or straighten you out, please forgive me. And thanks for not trying to fix me!
One reason I love photography is that it can be a way of loving the world just as it is. These tulip petals, for example, are exquisite. They are spent petals, fallen from the stem. For weeks they and other fallen petals graced our dining room table before we finally lost interest in them. One of my great failings is forever wanting to make my world a better place, as if it were a bad place, as if it needed my help.
