Saint Paul, probably in his first letter to the Corinthians, talks about signs and the interpretation of signs. If the interpretation of signs was a big deal in the early Christian Church, it is no longer, which is perhaps just as well for me since it is not one of my talents.

Apples in a campfire befuddle me. This sign is a bit easier to interpret. It is at the other end of my walk along Naaman's Creek, in front of woodcarver Walter Broadbent's home, which is called Osnok. But even here I am befuddled. Why the elephant? I tried googling "osnok elephant" and that turns up nothing. Time to ask the artist.
